“Senior Sing-alongs: Fun and Function.” Musetta Fu demonstrates the group-singing program she developed for her PhD dissertation in nursing science. She tested the impact of this program on older adult health, particularly looking at cognition, lung health, and quality of life.

“How Does Gender Affect the Conditions of Our Lives?” Rachel David teaches Gender and Women’s Studies at Shoreline Community College. She has a B.A. in Sociology from U.C. Berkeley and a JD from the University of Washington.
Rachel will discuss how gender begins to affect our lives even before we are born, and continues to be an influence during childhood, adulthood, and even after death. She’ll explore strategies for reducing the effects of gender.
