September, 2019

Saturday, September 14, 9:45 am to 12:45 pm, Edmonds Community College, Snohomish Hall, Room 338. Welcome to the first meeting of our program year! We’ll hear about team building from Chris Hudyma, director of organizational development and employee training at the college.

October, 2019

Saturday, October 12, 10 am to noon, Edmonds Community College, Snohomish Hall, Room 338.  On Saturdays, parking is free on campus.

Policy Café, looking at AAUW’s Public Policy positions through a lens of diversity and equity.  Join us for small group briefings on Washington legislation and initiatives affecting women and girls. There will be discussion and opportunities to participate in related advocacy.

Saturday, November 16, 10 am to noon, Shoreline City Council Chambers. Mayumi Tsutakawa presents Washington’s Undiscovered Feminists. Co-sponsored by AAUW Seattle Branch and presented through Humanities Washington.

Saturday, December 7, 10 am to 2 pm, EdCC Gateway Hall, Room 352.  Merry & Bright! Annual brunch and auction. Cost is $30 per person.

COVID-19 Pandemic Restrictions implemented in Washington State in March, 2020

CANCELLED   Saturday, March 14, 10 am to noon, Edmonds Community College, Snohomish Hall, Room 338. Our guest speaker is Dr. Terry Cox, vice-president for Workforce Development and Training at the college.  Dr. Cox will talk about what is currently happening at EdCC.

 

April, 2020

CANCELLED   Saturday, April 11, EdCC Woodway Hall, room 202.  Special Branch meeting, elections and bylaws amendment voting. “China, Tea, and Charity”—Mary Helen Roberts will talk with us about her tours in China focusing on the people she met and the cultural exchanges she experienced.  Coffee, tea, and special treats, and an opportunity to make contributions to our scholarship funds through Foundation A3E.

Saturday, May 9, 10 am to noon, Online using Zoom. Annual Recognition of local high school STEM Scholars. The guest speaker will be Reitha Weeks, a biologist with research and work experience in genetics and biochemistry.
